Sitting up in the dark
Wishing for the daytime
Pondering life’s mysteries
Stars shine out my window
All alone in darkness
Too alert to slumber
Thinking about tomorrow
And times that are to come
Surrounded by the night
Remembering the past
Memories of joyfulness
Ease you into dreaming
