yes it happened
one autumn night
discarded a leaf feel upon my face
crispy and brown
lifeless yet ageless
speaking volumes
right on my face
mocking my happiness
rustling wind blew it away
as i rushed to catch it
to preserve the memory
of the words i was exchanging
with you...............
the leaf rests with me
in my grief and in my glee
reminds me of feelings so strong today
can be lost tomorrow
one falling autumn leaf
one ended dream
