Falling In Love Poem by Alfred Ramos

Falling In Love

Rating: 5.0

If you need a reason
I can think of a few
From the first time that I saw you
I was then that I knew
Your hair blew in the wind
And swirled in my mind
Creating feelings
That had been buried for some time
Your eyes they sparkled
Like stars up in the night
I knew then that my dreams
Would turn out all right
And your smile
It grabbed me and pulled me in
Taking my head
And heart for a spin
I said to myself
This isn’t real
Ton of emotions
I didn’t know I could feel
It’s fantasy, euphoria
All wrapped in one
It’s like a whole new life
Had just begun
I could be
More wrong than right
Believing love
Will steer me into the light
So everything
Could be more clear
So the dreams I need
Won’t quietly disappear
I wonder
If I can make any sense
Evaluate every
Past and present tense
Take all the facts
And pull out only the truth
And make everything simple
Like it was in my youth
But I wouldn’t
Have it any other way
I’ll be the pawn
If you are willing to play
