False Dances Poem by Raj Arumugam

False Dances

you dance to money
you dance in your needs

you dance to your prejudices
you dance in your conditioning

you dance to your beliefs
you dance in your convictions

such lofty words dance on your lips
though your actions gyrate to a different tune -
and oh wow, how sweetly you justify anything

I can only be amused;
I can never believe you
