False self and true self
Meet as strangers,
Eyes brushing past—
Wind on stone,
Their touch fleeting,
A whisper of what's eternal.
True self, your name
Is a sacred sound,
Too vast for false self to hold.
True self, perpetual reality;
False self, a fleeting illusion,
Bound to fade.
They nod, they pass—
Two islands adrift,
Two waters flowing side by side,
Forever divided
By an unseen curtain.
Yet beneath the surface,
Where roots of being entwine,
I hear the Mother's whisper:
"You are two visages—
One bright, one shadowed,
Both belonging to the whole."
The echo of Alastu birabbikum
Hums in our blood—
The covenant etched
Before time's beginning.
The universe vibrates
With the song of Alast,
And I hum the same rhythm.
What lives within you
Lives beyond you too—
Neither yours nor mine alone.
The old songs of the cosmos,
Forgotten prayers murmured,
The pulse of creation's breath—
They rise and fall in us,
Woven into a fabric
We did not weave,
Yet wear as our own.
In this silence,
Where stillness speaks,
We are not alone.
Stitched together
By a divine thread,
Distance dissolves.
We draw near,
Bound by the sacred rhythm.
Your breath touches mine,
Mine touches yours—
And I know:
We belong to a wholeness,
Too vast to name.
