Fame Poem by Bailey Logan

Fame

The drive is there,
but the reason is missing...

I can see
my name shine in the lights
and shouted through the streets
talked about in bars and restaurants
raved in sunday's newspaper

But what I can't see is why
the lies and the deceit
that should halt my thinking
that should rip apart my imagination
throw it to the dogs

But if anything,
if anything at all
it becomes another challenge
just another step
to fame

To lights, to glory
to my name being remembered for years to come
no matter the consequence
no matter the pain
no matter the truth clouded by a camera

All there is is me
and my name
and my glory
and my dream
