Family Poem by Singleton M. Tate

Family

Trauma and Drama, Heartache and Sorrow,
the Family reigns supreme, in these kinds of things.
Born of a woman, so fragile and small,
with a strong man waiting to provide for you all.

The love that was once shared it seems is disappearing... like your memory of the perfect daydream. Now the Family that your thought, through the years was equipped to last is just a figment of some distant forsaken past.

What is happening to all of us... such unspeakable bickering and spiteful ways of mistrust? Unrest and Hatred now abides within, the Family is so lost swept away by this blackened whirlwind. It didn't take us by surprise.

We walked straight into the murky abyss looking deeply into its eyes, as if we embraced its cold, damp, smoky corridors, somehow feeling complete. After love was kicked out and evil rushed in to take over its seat!

Now the Family of the past has been sentenced to oblivion and so you ask, what does the word Family mean to me?

Feuding, Angry, Malicious, Individuals, Losing Yearly!
