Family Night Poem by Alma W. Hudson

Family Night

Sunday night at home
Brought out our family love
As we gathered around
And sang songs from above My beautiful Mother
with her hands on the keys
Would never miss
Playing all the melodies Then my Daddy joined in
On his special violin
And the daughters voices
Surely did begin We sang and sang
Had the greatest fun
The evening meant so much
When all was done How grateful I am
For those few years
Mother and Dad were called home
Amid all our tears The main lesson we learned
From those beautiful people
Was to keep our priority
Always upon the steeple.
