Fan These Flames Poem by Mark. A Heathcote

Fan These Flames

Oh, oh, fan these flames.
I'm a willing sacrifice.
Oh, oh, fan these flames.
I want to combust.

And sing like a midnight ghost.
Dragging its chains
Longing to cry, longing to die
Be a comfort by your side.

Oh, oh, fan these flames.
Let them leap into the skies.
Let them dance in the stars.
Let them compile in my soul.

And set a new seed that loves me well
And grows strong
Oh, oh, fan these flames.
I'm a willing sacrifice, you see.

Oh, oh, fan these flames.
I want to combust.
And be the envy
Of all that can be

Oh, oh, fan these flames.
Of my passion
Oh, oh, fan these flames.
Of the smoking silence behind her eyes

Till a tinder starts to blaze.
A moonlight tallow
That still wants to glow
Even though it has known far too much sorrow.
