Far From Home Poem by Kovan White

Far From Home

Rating: 2.5

All I ever want to do is go straight home
I'm trying to find some shade but that sun's too strong

If I'm not mistaken, I'm sure I got off a couple hours ago
My wife must hate me to make me feel so low

Give me some jet boots, wings, or even a backpack
If you can't give me that forget it give me to nap-sack
So I can go to sleep because I feel so weak

You know, the days sure seem long
Soon your mind starts to roam
As I'm looking in everyone's window
Like can you please take me home?
