Far From Light Poem by David Lovell

Far From Light

Far from light, what can one man hope for
Trapped in darkness, stumbling, refusing to open the door
Of the dungeon he called safety and comfort
That was killing him, his life hell, desire to abort
A life like death making his heart cold and empty like a tomb
There was but one hope, hands trembling, he opened the door to his room
