Far From Where I Am/ Life Goes On Elsewhere - Poem by Shalom Freedman
FAR FROM WHERE I AM/
Far from where I am
Life goes on elsewhere
I am in my own small world
There is Beauty here too
But the lights of the distance call
And I cannot follow them.
Small is all for one who
Like a snail cannot see
The broom of the balcony
he will soon be brushed off.
