The sojourn back,
in a sombre mood,
a missing voice,
an empty room.
In silence I stand,
the mind a screen,
images flash by,
to lie in a heap,
retrieve a few
very dear to me
those words of care,
that half smile,
the laughter wrinkles,
and twinkling eyes.
Another day,
a new dawn,
the birds will fly in
and sing their song,
Her words now echo,
when last
I bid adieu,
accept, accept for
as night follows day
Life
must move on.
