Farne Islands Poem by Sebastian Seal

Farne Islands

Rating: 4.0

The Farne Islands are home to seals,
And many other creatures.
Some eat tourists for their meals,
Especially kids with teachers.

Nightlife culture can be found,
With the Puffins singing soprano,
And all over Staple Sound,
The seagulls dropp their guano.

We have a colony of kittiwakes,
They really hate us seals.
One little gibe is all it takes,
And they're pecking at our heels.

There used to be a Great Auk,
But he died in Seventeen-Sixty-Two,
Off a cliff he tried to walk,
And quickly learnt why he never flew.

Please say 'hello' if you visit a Farne,
From Inner island to Longstone,
Or if you're from Yucatan,
You can call us on the phone.
