Father Poem by Abhay Agarwal

Father

I speculate and I assume
What is father I ponder
As I look into the distance, I know only Mother Nature can answer
So I begin my noble quest
Forest, I ask what represents a father
It responds with its mellow sounds, and soft breezes
It describes a father with the sweetest of mangos,
and the sourest of lemons.
Confused I ask the pond
It simply responds with a cool breeze
As well as a ripple that spreads the length of the earth.
Not understanding the gestures of the pond,
I consult the raging sun
But sun simply lets its beauty give me warmth
Yet suddenly, burning
Mother Nature speaks with puzzles
I lie in bed that night and in a dream a answer comes
It says caring, influential, powerful, father.
I smile in my mind a answer at last I lay in peace
My father always smiling upon me
Thank you.
Happy Fathers Day
