Father Poem by Lilly James

Father

Rating: 5.0

I'd like to say you love me,
And were always there
But I don't even know you
And I doubt you ever cared
You were supossed to guide me
Though lifes challenges
How can you expect me
To call you my dad
When you were never there
To tuck me in at night
I want to say you were there
And you never missed a game
To say I had a father
To protect me from the rain
I'd like to say you love me,
And were always there
But I don't even know you
And I doubt you ever cared

I love the way this poem flows, just how it sounds to read it. It is quite sad though.
