Father And Son 3 Poem by ROGEL FRANCIS SORIOSO

Father And Son 3

Regardless of the color, language and people we choose to belong
Our true Olympian identities had never changed all along
To be a Filipino, American or German never really mattered
We watch in the distance for our own amusement as men gathered
For you and I would always remain as one in spirit, flesh and blood
As the creators of the life we speak and in silence as their God
We could be born in Chicago or in Iloilo city with a different name
And our characters and attitudes might no longer be the same
But our spirits hasn't changed ever since the birth of humanity
The string that bonds us together would last for all eternity
Who would even dare to challenge us in war and in battle
With our union we shall make the people's nerves rattle
Of course there were even some instances when we fought against each other
During the second world war when I rebelled against you with my sister and brother
But as a family it only made our bond even better and stronger
And I know you couldn't wait for this day to come any longer
For someone who created both evil and good as a symbol of harmony or union
My actions no matter how evil or wicked was already forgiven in my own opinion
For you are the highest Judge in the heaven's only judicial court
Judging mankind for the kindness and generosity given at some sort
I assure you that your second-in-command will never abandon his post
I will serve you as my only true God and also love you the most
Together side by side we will face the enemy in the battle for good
As the pair who never backs down from the fight in any way we could
You are my only father, tag-team, pair and only true God
And I am the only next-in-line and wing man you ever had
So on this special day we shall celebrate like there's no tomorrow to come
As father and son losing ourselves in the moment with whiskey or rum
