Fauci

Meaning 'silent' and 'dumb',
'mute' shouldn't be the name
of a trumpet's muffler;
and because of exhaust,
'muffler' shouldn't be either.

Corona has thrown up
a couple of words that would suit:
'Epidemiologist' may be far too long;
but 'a fauci in your trumpet' sounds cute.
