The stupidity of fear
A human trait to show
What we all hold dear
That may so easily go
- and disappear...

Personal experience of an anxiety so fierce
Lets horror-struck our conscience pierce
That safety is not a common good
Although by law, be kept as such, it should...

The randomness of such emotion
May be regarded as foolish
The feeling itself has power so devilish
That anyone would 'Be Gone! ' it wish...
