Fear Not, O Heart, The Dimming Light Poem by Mohammad Younus

Fear Not, O Heart, The Dimming Light

Fear not, O heart, the dimming light,
nor mourn the sun's retreating flight.
For as the fire wanes to rest,
the night unfolds its boundless crest—
a canvas vast, where silence weaves
the birth of stars and whispered dreams.
The amber glow in soft demise
yields gently to the veiled skies.
Long shadows stretch in hush profound,
not as loss, but change unbound.
The earth, in twilight's quiet keep,
breathes deep as ancient stories sleep.
Darkness kneels with solemn grace,
a sacred hush, a breathing space.
Beneath the soil, in midnight deep,
the seeds of dawn in stillness sleep.
The roots of hope, though veiled from sight,
stir softly in the womb of night.
The stars arise—eternal keepers,
guardians of the dreamer's whispers.
In their glow, a promise gleams:
the night is not the end of dreams.
For every shadow, every tear,
is but a prelude drawing near.
Where time suspends in quiet breath,
fate and light weave past and death.
The tapestry of night is spun
not to sever—but be undone.
Each thread, a tale of silent might,
now bends toward the waiting light.
Then lo—the eastern veil is torn,
as fragile streaks of dawn are born.
In rose and gold, the heavens rise,
unfurling soft in waking skies.
The night, its purpose now complete,
withdraws before the sun's ascent.
Behold, the dawn's embrace is wide,
unfolding earth in love and light.
No night endures, nor shadow stays,
where hope ignites the newborn rays.
The heart, once hushed in twilight's reign,
now leaps to life, renewed again.
So fear not, heart, the dark's descent,
for night is but a transient tent.
Its folds will lift, its shades will fade,
as dawn ascends, unbound, unswayed.
For every dusk, a dawn is sown—
a truth eternal, softly known.
