Fears Of Joy Poem by Rene de Goede

Fears Of Joy

Rating: 2.5

How strange it feels all alone,
what is it I feel I don't quite know.
Is it sorrow, sadness or fear,
It's so confusing in my mind.

Will I have dreams or will I sleep,
will I have anguish and fear to keep.
My mind is made up, I will not change,
and yet their is something that still remains.

Maybe tomorrow will bring some light and joy,
or something positive for me to enjoy.

I woke from an restless night,
and looked out the window in sheer delight.
For there is was before my eyes,
the redness of beauty in the sky.

It crept up slowly behind the mountains,
so bright the sunrise beheld my eyes.

Never shall I fear, my confidence is near.
Feel this light as it feels so right,
to carry on the burdens that are so beyond.
