Feel Me Poem by Padmavathi Rambhakta

Feel Me

You did touch me
With your fingertips
You could not embrace me
You could not melt me
You just stay pale
like a dew droplet on the leaf
You fail to travel into me
Can you hear in me
the roaring oceans
Crying waterfalls
The forest sounds
The bird chirps
Can you flow through my rivers
Did you try to wet yourself in the incessant rain

I think you can only see me in the light
You can never swim in my darkestclouds
You just walk on my skin
With your eyes
But didnt try to dig my heart
You always look down upon me
You bury me in the earth
You keep me in a cage
But you never know
One fine day
I can break the iron cage
loaded with strength
I will soar up high in the sky
Like a bird
opening thousand wings
I can breathe
the flying fresh air
I can conquer the whole world
Iam a beautiful butterfly carrying many colours
Iam a huge book with infinite chapters
You can never
finish reading me
in your lifetime
