Sometimes Poem by Padmavathi Rambhakta

Sometimes
*************************
Sometimes I feel that
if I could quit from this bitter world
and never return

Sometimes I think that
if I had wings like a bird
and soar up high in the sky
reaching the top
and never return

Sometimes I feel that
if I could count all the stars
and play in the moonlight
like an ignorant child
and never return

Sometimes I think that
if I could walk
through the green meadows
and have a shower
in the fragrance of the beautiful flowers
and never return

Sometimes I feel that
if could get wet
and melt myself
in the incessant rain
and never return

Sometimes I think that
if I could bathe
in the moonlight
drinking the dew drops
on the green leaves
and lose myself
in the lingering taste
and never return

And now
I feel that
this poem should never end
and I can flow through these lines
and lost forever and ever
and never return
