Forgotten Stories Poem by Padmavathi Rambhakta

Forgotten Stories

Rating: 5.0

You and I
travelled hand in hand
We swam
through the
deep oceans
Counted the twinkling stars
We looked into the flowers
Gathered the frangrance
Ran across the brooks
Cherished the rainy clouds
We lit the time
with fireflies

The sky bent deep down
To look at us
The wind whispered
Beautiful songs
Into our ears

You and I
Enjoyed
multiple moments
of togetherness

And One fine day
You flew in search of your dollar dreams
You lost your charm
Your sensitivity vanished all of a sudden
You appeared with a different face

You are not
that past butterfly anymore

Those are not
forgotten stories
When Thoughts wander
Here and there
You dance on my eyeballs
The hurt is deep

But Yes ofcourse
I know the time heals
All the wounds
I realised
Every yesterday has a hidden tearful story
And Every tomorrow
has a fresh new page as well
