Felidae - Poem by Indrani Ananda

It's not for a child that I'm grieving,
No daughter, no son, not that;
But the memory I have that is sweetest -
The soul of a beautiful cat.

Companion she was, always waiting;
She chose me - from nowhere she came;
My world is in shadow without her......
I weep as I whisper her name.

But what of the cats whom nobody loved,
The feral, the wild and the stray -
Do they abide in God's memory
To wake and be treasured one day?

    A touching and loving ode to a lost pet
    Not very many of us pick up the pen even for nurtured and long held pets….

    You have injected enormous sentiment and passion into these lines.
    A beautiful write
    You have graet poetic ability….cheers
