the light coming from
that lamp to light you at
night

the water that comes falling
from the shower when
you take that morning bath

the squeezing of that catsup
from a plastic container

the amount of the wind that
you filter on that window curtain

all these, are measured, and
regulated to get what optimum is.

like love and hate, remembering
and forgetting, anger and pain.

like the way one loves the other,
the way one leaves at the right time.

filter thoughts, regulate moves,
