Why should I rearrange my life?
To mirror your image of a wife
If I had known you were not satisfied with the way I cooked
I would have quickly let you off the hook
Now my food needs a little more spice
But before we were married it was just right
Now my voice is just a little too loud
Before we were married it would get you aroused
My ambitions do not meet your expectations
You constantly complain “We will never get anywhere with my meager aspirations”
Children! Oh no! Not right now
We have too much to do to have them around
Make passionate love to me
Not anymore
Wham! Bam! Thank You Mam! Then you’re out the door
Tell me you love me everyday
Ha!
I would be happy with “Hello sweetheart. How was your day?
A simple compliment such as “You look lovely today Baby”
Instead I get “I know your not wearing that with me. Are your crazy? ”
I refuse to rearrange my life
Good bye Heartache, Misery and Strife
I’m leaving You!
FIND A NEW WIFE! ! ! ! ! ! !

Thanks for reading mine. How easy it is to feel your consternation. Been there, done that; even wrote the poem. I do so hope that he read it and mended his ways, although it is often too much to hope given the nature of the beast. At least he has been put on notice. Well said. Adeline
