First And Last Christmas Poem by michael Smajda

First And Last Christmas

This will be my first Christmas without you,
My very first Christmas being alone trimming the tree,
And my very first Christmas of many to come,
Whereby, no Christmas gifts will be exchanged by you and me.

This will be the first Christmas you won't be around
To help me place the special ornaments here and there
And the very first Christmas amiss will be the mistletoe
We use to kiss under, confirming our love quite rare.

This will be for you your very first Christmas
You will be spending with God, His herald angels above,
So, until we can share, again, Christmas together,
Merry Christmas, I do miss you, my darling love.
