First Impressions Poem by Regan Roberts

First Impressions

If I hide away under this hood
Let my fringe over my eyes
I don't suppose you ever would
Think this as a disguise
If this music fills more than my ears
As the way poetry clears my mind
Would you still have doubts and fears
Or could you leave them all behind
If a first impression did last
All because of what you saw
Would you be able to put it in the past
And realise that there's something more?
