First Kiss Poem by Timothy Hector

First Kiss

Rating: 5.0

Each day is harder then the one before
The pressure that builds, I just ignore
For with you a kiss means more
You are the one I adore

Should I kiss you or should I not?
If I do, will I stop?
I hold you in a warm embrace
I look in your eyes, we are face to face

It’s hard to part, but I let go
I walk away because I know
We aren’t together, it’s not right
You smile at me, blinding bright

I know that smile and what it means
You feel it to but we just can’t be
So patiently I will sit and wait
For the perfect time and place

At that moment, my world will stop
For it will be the end of the beginning
And the beginning of the rest of my life
