First Love Poem by Samantha White

Though I have just met you,
I feel I have known you longer.
I have never felt like this so fast before,
and it kind of scares me.
You are one main reason I have to live;
before I met you I was almost always sad.
But now you make me happy every time I talk to you,
you make me forget my sadness.
Still unsure of what I am doing,
Still not sure if I trust you.
How can you really like me?
When we have basically just met?
Though we are far apart, I still think of you,
but doesn’t that bother you that we are hardly ever together?
I barely know you and yet you say you love me,
Should I trust you or will I just get hurt in the end?
I really want to believe you so that we can be,
together forever and ever.
All these new feelings scare me so much;
I have never felt like this before.
I just want to feel your touch,
and your arms around me holding me forever.
You are definitely my first love,
and I hope that we can last.
