The wintry frost covered flora
And spared not ev’n a leaf;
The green kingdom half-dead had gone,
Succumbing to Nature’s seasonal onslaught.
The winter’s end brings some respite,
As plants return to life again slowly;
A lone Hibiscus flower blossoms –
First sign of the floral resurrection.
The healing looks so amazing,
As Nature gets to work with speed;
Caring for wounds that winter wrought,
Salvaging her inanimate greenery.
