Fishing With Hope Poem by Not Long Left

Fishing With Hope

Cast your line of hope out into the void
see not the journey but the landing.

inverted drops clinging onto nothingness:
Marvel the ripples give birth and die all

within the blink of the eye. Feel the pull
as all that you believed furthers its way

into the abyss. Falling upon moutains
resting upon land sized leaves.Take the

strain as the hungry black bites back.
Reel in a little of line as the future hangs

above you in suspended time. Clasp
the tattered remains in blistered palms

Pack yourself away readying yourself
for tommorows more hopeful return.
