Flapper Poem by Kaity Desrosiers

Flapper

Rating: 5.0

That Spanish fly,
That gave you rise in the morning day.
She played your heart like a banjo.
Deceitful lies,
Betrayed your eyes,
For that Spanish fly.

Spanish fly, you mocked his
Pharos during an age.
Not too long before,
Like the dawn of day revived
As my lover, and I
Formed to
Connoisseur.
Our eyes sun kissed.
Not like you, that Spanish fly.
How she spread her sticks
For a f**k!
A flick!
She, that Flapper stole my Knight.

As the devil prevailed
Came a dressing of hail.
A gift from her, that Spanish fly.
She was once my crony
Now she has proven
To be phony
For him, my lover, my Saint.

Spanish fly, you are despised.
You have no shame!
You conjured a heist
For my shining Light.

As you disguised,
Your need for perfection;
Your need for direction,
In life.

Poor Spanish fly.
You are no more than
A tale,
A spy.

My Nightingale
Came back to me.
Because you are a
Fallacy!
