Floating Gods Poem by Chai McLain

Floating Gods

sometimes I'm sad
I have no firm belief
like a Catholic at Mass
I have a floating tree
protection seals and burnt offerings
connections
but no group of people
to pray with
strong Gods
but no one else
I am alone
by myself
on a sea of uncertainty
with nothing but
protection seals
and taro cards
