Flora Poem by Justin Gildow

Flora

Sitting up in a tree
I see Flora tending to her garden
I write my poems and draw my pictures for her
And I hope she can see what's exactly inside of me

I get down from the tree
And Flora runs to me
She wraps her arms around me
I return the favor with my arms around her
We smile to one another

We take a walk
Side by side
Arm around one another
We walk up to the clearing
We raise our arms and hands to the sky
And we humbly surrender ourselves to Mother Nature
