Flower Girl Poem by Matt Tinsley

Flower Girl

She is a flower in desolate hours
She buds throughout many things
Outlasts the winter
And awaits the spring
Her nectar repels the broken
And spreads throughout the fields
She bears requirement and duty
But most of all basks in her beauty
As all others spirits do
Most cannot resist her subdue
She is natural and wonder
She seizes lighting and avoids thunder
I've admired ever longer
But lacked a source to plunder
Sunshine floats to seep within
Her peddles wave as does her skin
Sprouting from damaged soil
She learns and tends unspoiled
This blooming lass I ache for
Entices as she greens
Colors are unworthy
To coat this daisy dream
