Flowers, Barns And Red Dirt Roads Poem by Marilyn Lott

Flowers, Barns And Red Dirt Roads

Rating: 2.8

To me the most simplest of things
Bring to life such a peaceful joy
Driving out into the country
Observing nature is what I enjoy

Old dilapidated barns stand out
With tall dry grass all around
The quiet of the countryside
With only soft gentle sounds

A cow standing in a red dirt field
Not a single worry in her head
Life is not a problem at all
There is nothing she has to dread

Beautiful hillsides dotted with color
Don’t you just love how they look?
Trees and barns my camera captures
Along with a sweet flowing brook

So if you feel the strain of life
You’re carrying too heavy a load
Climb in to your vehicle and enjoy
Flowers, barns and red dirt roads!
