Fly My Butterfly Poem by Tony Pinedo

Fly My Butterfly

Rating: 4.0

I wish I could fly like the butterfly, away from this darkness I cry. I can't stop the tears from flowing, this childs mind stop growing. The fear and hurtful touch, was just to much.

Why didn't anyone hear my midnight screams, I lost all my childhood dreams. I swear I would of been better off if I had died, then to hear my mother say that I lied.

I felt there was no hope, wanted the end my life with a rope. I fear the darkness and stepfather when I'm home alone and can't escape, that demon called rape. I wanted to jump from the second floor of the house I cry, then a thought of who will protect my younger Sister if I die. Oh Lord make us a butterfly, so we can fly to heavenstepdadly sky.
