Flying Over Land Poem by Tirupathi Chandrupatla

Flying Over Land

Flying over land high above
In a jet at six mile altitude's
Exciting and exhilarating.

View from the tiny window
Extends all the way to the horizon
Keeps on changing with time.

Paths people tread're
Interesting geometric forms
Intersecting lines and curves.

Dwellings here and there're
Building blocks with connections
Intricate and elegant.

Fields that grow food lay
In various shapes green
Water resources by the side.

Winding form of the stream's
Another beautiful figure resembling
A long snake sleeping.

Mountains're heaps of grandeur
Raised by the enormous
Pressure of nature.

Floating clouds snow white
Give a heavenly feeling
To the wandering mind.

One fixed object - the wing tip
Lingers constantly in the sky
Steady it is giving stability.
