Fog Poem by Elaina Rich

Fog

Show me the way in which I should go.
I look about, no one to lead me, yet I see a multitude behind.

The fog of the night gets thick,
Tempting me to slow,
To wonder,
To sit and forget the journey,
All together.

Ssshhhhh
it whispers,
Dont think,
Dont Feel,
Just remain, time is but a dream.

But I cant help but see....
The trail ahead..its real.
And the others, surely the moss will grow over.
They will lose their way. (Why me God?)

So I stand and call
To the One,
Light of the torch,
That ignites my heart,
That burns this fog away.
You will lead Us beside still waters,
You will restore Our souls.

You beckon to me to the Sun,
Keep going, never pause long enough,
To forget why you've come.
Or the ones behind.
