Following Anyway - Poem by Rick Elpers

Let the Lord guide you
Through the maze of life
By prayer and silence
Answers will be given
Then senses awaken
To find walls of personal
Philosophy towering, looming
Spouting logic that appears
As truth, claims as the path
You've taken, believable, faith spent
And presumed
Until reflection gleans new
Awareness peppered with doubt
And hope, sensing adventure
Wary of unknown terrain
Seemingly illogical, unreasonable
Staying the new course, promises
Kept, allowing faith to grow
Still asking yet seeing,
Aaaahhh! ! ! !
