This a poem of the Interior Life. As the title shows, it is a choice to do so, it's not required, but your poem shows the manifold benefits of pursuing an Interior Life. Also, you don't have to be a poet to do so, many people live the Interior Life in their prayer-life which enriches them. The opening of your poem gives words which describe this world wthin: EMPTY SPACES, SPACIOUS, PLENTY OF ROOM, INFINITY and the middle stanza, the very center of the poem, announces what we gain by this pursuit of interiority, namely, FREEDOM. And the inspiration to write poems! I am reading all of your new poems listed which deal with the inner world.
