Fool Again (Song Lyric) Poem by John Carter Brown

Fool Again (Song Lyric)

FOOL AGAIN

Empty bottles lying everywhere
clothes are hanging over every chair
I'd wear some shoes if I could find a pair
I've been a fool again I know

Telephone's been ringing endlessly
head is buzzing like a bumble-bee
eyes are open but I just can't see
I've been a fool again I know

So come to me darling
I'm on bended knee
and I will hold you forever
however long that may be.

If it takes a hundred years or more
gonna have to settle up my score
do the things I didn't do before
I'm still a fool again I know.

But if I promise to be good again
will you help me break this crazy chain
if you don't I think I'll go insane
and be a fool again I know.

So come to me darling
I'm on bended knee
and I will hold you forever
however long that may be.
