Flame Of Love Poem by John Carter Brown

Flame Of Love

Rating: 4.2

Flame of love come near me
And let me feel the heat
Let me glide above the ground
Instead of on my feet;

Tell me all your secrets
And blaze within my heart
Then my dearest love and I
May never be apart;

For I am no great lover
And cannot crack the code
So bear me up and teach me
And lift my heavy load;

But if my plea is wasted
And life's too much to handle
I'll have to pop out to the shop
And buy myself a candle.

Well, you got me again. I start reading this intense love poem, and I end up laughing. I guess that's good. You're teaching me not to be so serious. I loved the poem.

Keep that candle out of the wind. A hearty, humorous lament-great attitude about life and love
