Fool's Errand Poem by Akade Emmanuel I

Fool's Errand

Forsseeking through the hearts
Dettered by the heat:
Arrogance supersedes,
Charity a taboo
Pomposity a stock in trade
Meekness and mildness abhorred
Thus love-a humble soul
Corrupted by greed and envy
Humiliated by materialism
Forsook humility.
Where are you love?

My soul a dove
To unkind souls.
My heart-a light
For the dark hearts
Penetrating the thick darkness
Yet, sincerity discarded
Diligence disdained
Then I'm well aware
To satisfy and be satisfied
Is a kiss of death if thou can't save,
Where are you love?

Mimicry decorating the body
Impersonating the fools
That lust for the ultimate affection;
Avoiding love, is a mystery
And the scars: unbearable
But when curiosity dares my mind
Morality belittles my efforts:
The beautiful colours to behold
Stain a clean heart
The Sweetest tongues that throw smiles
A defilement to my soul!
Where are you Love?

Thoughts of your existence are dreams
For your powers unconvincing
Your weakness proven
When not found in trusty friends
Or the trusted ones never believe in you;
You're a stranger, or no being!
Where are you love?

O! Love
Do me a favour and be a friend
Break the myth and rule the world
Let your powers surface
For your existence is confirmed
Your presence confided
In rare times of delight-
All the happy moments shared
Your presence is noticed
But I can't turn around
To confirm your arrival
But if thou live
We shall meet to part no more! ! !
