Fool The Dog Poem by Larry Oakner

Fool The Dog

Rating: 5.0

You could lead your life with intention
or leave it to luck.
But if you make it your choice when to walk out the door
there will be a line of people wishing you well.
There will be rewards waiting for you
that you weren't expecting.
It may not be a fortune
but it's far better than begging with a sign on a street corner.
You deserve it.
Opportunities will come if you want them.
Know that you are better than you think you are.
Other people believe in you.
You should too.
Do not leave it to luck.
When the doubting dog barks
throw him a bone.
