For a moment I thought you loved me.
For a moment I thought you cared.
For a moment I thought you wanted me.
For a moment I wasn’t scared.

For a moment you were there for me.
For a moment you were so nice.
For a moment you were helping me.
For a moment you gave me advice.

For a moment she said that she’d seen me.
For a moment she said that you knew.
For a moment she said you’d never loved me.
For a moment she declared that was true.

For a moment he had hated me.
For a moment he had bled.
For a moment he had been hurt by me.
For a moment all was red.

For a moment we were together again.
For a moment we were not apart.
For a moment we were here again.
For a moment we were back at the start.
