For Annie Oakley Poem by Lisa West

For Annie Oakley

For Annie
I carry a bible and I carry a gun.
I was born to a gun and not to run.
Turning the other cheek is the thing and I wish I had it in me
but you see I got this gun.
And I’m not going to run.
You see I’m fast…but faster with a gun…
And I won’t run.
