For As Long As You Are Poem by Francis Duggan

For As Long As You Are

For as long as you are the best that you can be
And your dealings with others conduct in honesty
And for your future good karma sow the good seed
By helping the person of your help in need
People you are kind to will remember you
And appreciate you for the nice things for them you did do
There is more to life than living for me, myself and i
Those who do tell you different believe their own lie
Those with genuine love of self have love with others to share
For the welfare of others they genuinely care
Never in your words drag anyone down
Leave that to the judgmentalsort of the town
You only can live to be the best you can be
And that should be good enough would you not agree?
